Hey Cool People!

Have you ever looked around and realized you don’t want what everyone else has? Society tells us we should go to school, get a job, work hard, then maybe retire before we die. The number of people I have met who wake-up, go to work, come home just to complain about the lives they have, go to bed, before waking up and doing it all over again is sad. Most people follow this routine because they know nothing else, but is this living?

So here is a little about me. My name is Gerald Fisher and I am a twenty-something graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with my Masters of Science in Management-Professional Accounting. I was pressured to secure a job for when I graduated, something all my friends at University did, however, that wasn’t for me. I decided to take that expensive piece of paper and tuck it away as I take some time to explore the world. I believe there is more to life than sitting at a desk all day, doing the same thing over and over until you die.

There are two quotes that I love:

“Never get to busy making a living that you forget to live your life”

and

“In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take”

I don’t want to look back on my life and ever say “I wish I would have.” Life is too short to not make the most of it. Now, I don’t know exactly what is I want or how I want to get there, but I know I don’t want the life everyone else has. This blog will be stories of my travels, struggles and experiences as I try to discover what it is I truly want out of life. Well, I am not entirely gifted at writing, so I am not sure what this blog is going to evolve into, but hopefully you find it entertaining.
